Today's email is brought to you by Coffeelike Media, where I help small business owners like you start, refine and/or produce your podcast and supporting media so you can focus on your area of expertise!
🥳Hiya Coffee Cup,
I’ve got 1 announcement & 1 tip for you today!
And I’m going to start sending these out on Sunday as an experiment. Let me know if you like this better or not. I notice for me, I’m a more relaxed newsletter reader on Sunday. Wonder if you’re the same. Let me know (hit REPLY or comment below).
Let’s do this!
Announcement: Coffeelike Media growth
I’m adding on different levels of small business podcasting tips for different budgets. As a small business owner myself, I understand the desire to grow heavily weighted down sometimes with the reality of small business budgets.
Here’s the current plan:
Podcast and YouTube channel: Free
(Although I’m thinking about a paid subscription for the experiment I’m running in November during National Podcast Post Month.)
newsletter: $10 per month/$100 per year (available now)
micro courses & membership: The FREE live webinars/courses are now paid events.
OR
$150 per year membership (launching in October. This intro price will be valid for October 2023 only.)
By the way, the membership does NOT have a Slack, chat room or forum. I know how busy you are and wanted to make a space for content but not added ‘I need to check this’ social stress.
If you purchase this week’s event (below), I’ll deduct it from your membership in October if you email me. I’ll send you a discount code for the October membership.
🥰The next LIVE event is this week. More info and registration here.
podcast audits: $200 for content, sound and marketing audit. All audits are customized.
monthly podcast services (editing, management and/or organic growth): start at $500/month
Tip: Podcast sponsorship highlight
Okay, I usually don’t talk about podcast sponsorships with you all because most small business podcasters use the podcast as lead generation. YOU are your own sponsor. But David of Beyond The Thesis is transitioning from a passion podcast into a sponsored podcast and the things he’s learning are useful to those of you that are considering this as part of your podcast.
🤗After watching, leave a comment on YouTube OR contact David and let him know you enjoyed it.
The podcast version will be available later this week.
I love the entire conversation with David that talks about other topics but here are the sponsor specific timestamps. (click on the times below to go to that specific part of the YouTube video)
14:00 What business opportunities have come out of his podcast
16:30 For sponsor pricing, did David use the CPM or fixed price model? And what he needed to prepare before having a conversation with sponsors.
20:20 How does he decide if a sponsor is a good fit for his audience?
Let me know if you need anything,
Steph
